A Staged Reading:
Based on oral histories of women who have been sex and/or labor trafficked within the United States, this reading brings to life the voices of survivors who have been traditionally silenced and hidden in plain sight. Originating from interviews I have conducted over the past year, my main intention is to create a theatrical piece that educates and compels community action against regional and national human trafficking.

Part 1 of this 3 part series will discuss the devising process, and invite students to return for Part 2 on Thursday and begin loosely rehearsing the piece for a reading/presentation on Friday. Join us and be a part of documenting these powerful stories!
